Spirit of Corby 2009 Winner

The Educational Spirit of Corby Award sponsored by Tresham Institute was won by Elaine Brennan the Manager of Strides Cafe in Corby. Elaine has inspired dozens of people with special needs and disabilities to work. She has helped her workers to build confidence and skills in answering calls and taking orders from customers and using the till.

She said:

"I am so proud of winning this award but I'm also proud of the people who work at Strides.

"If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have won this award and it just means the world to me."

Strides offers a range of Lunchtime meals with breakfast served from 9am until 11am.
