Strides cafe, in Studfall Avenue in Corby, has put up a new shop sign and re-decorated after receiving £2,700 from the council.

The cafe employs adults with learning difficulties and was recently taken over by Elaine Brennan after it was under the threat of closure by the county council.

A food delivery service to elderly residents in the area has been launched as part of the cafe's community spirit.

Strides opened for business 11 years ago and its regular customers organised a petition to keep it open.
